I'm an associate in Mintz's ECVC practice in Boston, and my favorite part of the job is working with passionate founders from idea to execution. I advise startups, emerging growth companies, and venture funds from formation and early-stage financings through exit, often serving as outside general counsel. My work spans SAFE and convertible note rounds through Series E financings of more than $100 million, for companies in technology, life sciences, financial services, and sustainable energy. Before law school, I spent several years teaching overseas and in the United States, and those experiences shape how I practice today: I love helping founders make sense of their first term sheet and building the kind of relationships that grow with a company from its earliest days. I hold a JD from Boston College and a BA from Wesleyan University, where I studied archaeology and anthropology. These days I dig into cap tables instead of excavation sites, but the thrill of discovering what something could become hasn't changed.
